'Catching Fire': 'Hunger Games' Follow up Could Get 'Slumdog Millionaire' Film writer

'The Hunger Games' will not be out until March 23, 2012, but Lionsgate has already been planning for that follow up, 'Catching Fire.' Based on Deadline, the studio hopes to employ Simon Beaufoy to create the script. Beaufoy, whose credits include 'The Full Monty' and '127 Hrs,' won an Oscar last year for his 'Slumdog Millionaire' script. The script for that first 'Hunger Games' film was compiled by Suzanne Collins, the writer from the books.
